Hey all! I don't update things nearly enough.

Halloween 2009 was fun! I debuted my Infinity Arc Syaoran, complete with spiked collar, 10 feet of chain, bandages, bruise makeup, and stage blood; and had fun running around my college campus taking photos with a few friends - also attempting karaoke on a Japanese Wii, so it's a good thing I can read hiragana

Anyway, I recently finished the Summoner Yuna commission for ~XMireille-chanX, always a pleasure working with her ^_^ In the works is yet another variant of Syaoran from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, this time from the manga chapter #133 splash illustration. This one's proving to be challenging but also pretty fun; since the only part of the design that shows is most of the front, I get to design the rest of the costume myself.

I'm also very close to finishing Syaoran's jian sword from Tsubasa and Card Captor Sakura, which only needs some painting and detailing at this point. I'm proud of this particular prop also because it will be made completely by me without the help of my dad or my brother - in the past I've enlisted their help in shaping the pieces and fitting them together, but not this time!

Other props that are either in-the-works or planned are the Swan Sword from Princess Tutu, and Syaoran's sword "Hien" from Tsubasa.

Other stuff...?

I have a lot of fabric and plans for several costumes, including a couple other variants of Syaoran, Toboe from Wolf's Rain, Malon from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Ginko from Mushi-Shi etc. This puts me in a bit of a pickle for what to work on next, but we'll see how the wind blows.

I'm halfway through watching the anime Soul Eater and really enjoying it, so another cosplay that I'm planning to put together is Maka Albarn, complete with the Soul scythe (another prop! Where am I going to put all these things??). So far all I've done on that particular project is to buy patterns, but I'll be hunting around for fabric within the next few weeks. Incidentally, fall and winter is the best season to shop for plaids.
